You will have a reserved time available to climb the circular structure of the Leaning Tower. The tower's infamous lean, architectural beauty and unique Pisan style have made it one of the great Wonders of the World. Following your tour of Pisa, you will be taken to nearby Lucca, the city of Ilaria (the unfortunate bride) and birthplace of Puccini. You will have some time to explore the culturally rich city within its fully intact Renaissance-style walls. The main square was built atop the ruins of an amphitheatre, which is comparable to a smaller version of the Colosseum. Some of the city's historic and artistic treasures include the St. Martin Cathedral, St. Michael in Foro Church and St. Frediano Church. Take some time to wander the streets, explore the shops, marvel at the medieval churches and absorb the beauty that surrounds you. Once you have taken some time exploring Lucca, you will be returned to the port at Livorno to meet your ship.
