You will be met at the Civitavecchia port by our private English speaking guide and driver for your 90 minute drive to Rome. Along the way our guide will give you information on the sights you will visit during your exciting day in the Eternal City.
Your itinerary has you traveling on foot to visit the classic monuments of Rome. Your local guide will take you on a pleasant stroll through the historical centre, the famous Spanish Steps(Piazza di Spagna), you can admire the Trevi Fountain, La Colonna di Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio (designed by Bernini), the Pantheon (visit inside), Palazzo Madama and Piazza Navona.
Continuing by coach, you will visit one of the main churches; St Paul's outside the Walls, built over the burial place of the Apostle of the Gentiles. The building of the first place of worship over St Paul's Tomb has been attributed to the Emperor Constantine. Proceeding along the Ancient Appian Way, you will pass by the Chapel of "Domine Quo Vadis" before arriving at the Catacombs, the ancient underground cemeteries and first hiding places for the Christians. You will tour either the Catacombs of San Callisto, Santa Domitilla or San Sebastiano depending upon seasonal conditions and opening.
Visit St. Peter's Basilica, surrounding the world's largest church. While Bernini designed most of works found in the church, Michelangelo's Pieta is also housed here. Explore St. Peter's Square before returning to your cruise ship at the Civitavecchia port.

2) We send you a Proposal
Shortly after your initial contact with our tour designers, you will receive a draft proposal based on your earlier discussions, normally within 2 business days. This proposal is a no obligation draft for your review and comments. Any additions or modifications will be implemented and a new proposal will be forwarded to you for approval.
3) You like what you see!
Upon meeting your requirements and expectations, you will be requested to send a deposit in the amount of 25% of total. Final Payment is due 45 days prior to scheduled departure date.
4) Buon viaggio!
Approximately, 2 weeks prior to departure you will receive a personalized and detailed day by day itinerary booklet and the necessary vouchers for the services to be provided, along with a general information section on the various regions of Italy.
The booklet and vouchers will include all the important information; addresses, phone & mobile numbers for all your service providers, hotels as well as the phone number of our office in Rome.
