Currency and Moneychanger

There are 7 notes in denomination of 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 euros and 8 coins in denomination of 2 and 1 euros 50 cents, 20 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents, 2 cents and 1 cent.

Money change can be provided at the “Cambio Valute” (exchange office), banks, at the post office. Usually, banks and the post office offer best rates that the exchange office. Commissions fluctuate and depend on whether you are changing cash or cheques.
