An ancient Florentine residence, the Hotel Degli Orafi is found between Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, right on the Archibusieri Arno embankment. The old Agostino Fathers convent which dates back to the 13th century is also found in this complex.
Frescoed ceilings built during the Florentine period have been restored. The hotel offers breath taking views of Ponte Vecchio which has its goldsmith shops, the Georgofili Academy, Brunelleschis Dome, the Vasaris Corridor and the Palazzo Vecchio. There is also a medieval tower that was destroyed in 1260 by the Ghibellines that has been partially recovered and highly recommended to visit.
