The Bernina pass, the highest summit in the Eastern alps lies a few kilometres south of the town. From St. Moritz you can board the Bernina Express for an incredible day trip to the top of the world! This panoramic train climbs to the Bernina pass 2134 meters ( 7380 feet) passing glaciers, waterfalls and amazing mountain scenery. The train journey continues to Tirano in Italy. This historic train line has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.The Bernina Express is one of the most exciting train rides in the alps and should not be missed!
