The highlight of our trip was the visit to Perosa Canevesa

Hi Paola!

We can only start by saying, once again, Road to Italy exceeded our expectations and arranged the most knowledgeable, friendly tour guides, the most expert drivers, great hotels, and an itinerary that would receive a Michelin 5-star rating. Our hotel in Paris, Hotel Le 123 was strategically placed and we were able to do a lot of exploring on our own. David, our guide, was excellent. He loves the history of Paris and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. The picnic lunch at the Eiffel Tower was totally enjoyable and excellent. Milan’s hotel, De la Ville was also beautiful. The staff were very helpful and we found, with their assistance, many non-tourist areas and restaurants that we wanted to visit. The breakfasts at all the hotel were good, but the breakfasts here were “over the top”. The hotel dining room, L’Opera was a hidden jewel! The highlight of our trip was the visit to Perosa Canevesa where Dianne’s grandmother (Nona) was born in 1888. We had a photo of the altar in the church where Nonna was baptized. Santo Stefano in Turino was a unique property and so close to so much of the history of Turin. Alessandro was our guide and, despite humid, hot temperatures, we survived and thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hour walking tour with him. Again, the hotel had an excellent lunch and dinner! In Parma and Modena, Guilia and Elena were wonderful and knowledgeable guides! We would recommend the Parma ham tour and tasting to anyone who visits the area. This was our fourth trip to Italy and we want to return again soon. Thank you so much for a great itinerary that covered all of our expectations and for guides and drivers that enjoy what they do.

Tom & Dianne
