From Catania Centrale Station there are regional trains to:

Siracusa, at least one train every hour with a journey time of about 1 hour and 20 minutes

Taormina, at least one train every hour with a journey time of about 1 hour. It is important to know that the station of Taormina-Giardini is not in the center, but in the lower part of Taormina near the seaside. To reach the city center with the famous panoramic terraces and the Greek amphitheater must then take a local bus or a private taxi.
