Naples Shore Excursions

The port of Naples is located in the city center. At your arrival in Naples from the sea side you can admire the beauty of the Palaces and monuments of the city center and the hills behind.

The traffic of the port in terms of cruise passengers is estimated to be about 600,000 people a year.

If upon your arrival at the cruise terminal you want to visit the city of Naples, with just a short walk you can visit Piazza Plebiscito, one of the most important squares of Italy with the Royal Palace, the Opera Theater of San Carlo and Gallery Umberto or you can visit the area of the historical center with the famous churches of St. Clair, Gesu Nuovo church and the Duomo.

Do not forget that Naples is the capital of Italian pizza and of the espresso coffee, if you visit Naples, do not miss the chance to enjoy a pizza at one of the famous pizzeria as "Trianon", "Michele" or "Di Matteo," and a delicious espresso at the bar such as “Gambrinus “ or "Caffe del Professore".

If you want to visit the island of Capri and the famous Blue Grotto, from the dock called "Beverello" (inside the port of Naples) there is a service of ferries and hydrofoils to Capri operated by different companies..

• Fast ship 50 minutes
• Hydrofoil 40 minutes

If on your arrival in Naples you are interested in an excursion to Pompeii, or Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast, we strongly advise that you book a private transfer or in the case of groups a private bus. The train and bus connections are not so convenient and you may spend a lot of your time traveling. Distances and travel times by private car from the port of Naples:

• Sorrento - 50 kilometers away about 1 hour by car
• Amalfi Coast - 75 kilometers away about 1 hour and a half by car
