General information on the port of Venice

The Port of Venice is located inside the Lagoon of Venice ,very close to the city center and the famous San Marco area (about 2 km) The cruise traffic in the port of Venice is estimated in 2,000,000 passengers a year. Can be considered the most important port of the Adriatic Sea, and the second of the Mediterranean, just after the port of Civitavecchia .

The harbor is well connected by public boats offered by the company Alilaguna . Their "Blue Line" boats connect every 15 minutes the port with the city center, the island of Murano, the Lido of Venice and the Venice International Airport Marco Polo

The journey to the San Marco area takes about 25 minutes.
