Urbino - Marches

The region of the Marches in central Italy offers diverse natural beauty and rich culture and history. The area set against a backdrop of majestic mountains, is a collection of cliffs, caves and gorgeous beaches. Its beautiful cities reveal a rich and varied history. Ascoli Piceno with its Piazza del Popolo and Palazzo dei Capitani del Popolo. Ancona the ancient port town once known as the gateway to the east offers interesting Medieval churches and buildings as well as a great beach. The historic town of Urbino is a great example of architecture from the Italian Renaissance period and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
