The Lamborghini Museum and Factory situated in the countryside, just outside Bologna, make an interesting stop for those on luxury tours of Italy. For many decades, this renowned Italian carmaker has been churning out luxury super sports cars, including some of the most expensive cars ever made. The factory has been based in the village of Sant’Agata Bolognese since the company was born in 1963. The museum opened in 2001 to satisfy the Lamborghini fans’ curiosity.

The Lamborghini Museum

Unlike its neighbor, the Ferrari museum in Maranello, the Lamborghini museum has no flashy marketing-driven displays and simulators. The main attractions are the legendary products and that is what visitors can admire to their hearts’ content, without any distraction. Tractors, burners, a helicopter and boat with Lamborghini’s engines, models and photos provide a complete overview of the legendary carmaker’s history. Almost every model ever made is on display: the 350 GT, the very first model built by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1964, Murcialago, Reventon, Gallardo, Sesto Elemento, Estoque, Aventador Roadster, and Huracan.
