Florence and Pisa Livorno
You will be met at the Livorno port by your private English speaking driver for your drive to Florence.
Florence is a beautify city that strikes an intriguing balance between its rich historical roots and it’s vibrancy today. Your first stop will be at the city’s architectural masterpiece, the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), for which Filippo Brunelleschi built the magnificent dome. Upon your arrival in Florence city center You will continue on a walking tour through the medieval cobblestone streets of Florence, where you will take in majestic palaces and charming shops as you explore some of the city’s most noteworthy landmarks: Piazza Signoria, which features the beautiful marble Fountain of Neptune, and Ponte Vecchio, the only bridge in Florence to have remained fully intact throughout World War II. Ponte Vecchio is lined by a multitude of shops for you to explore. You will end your tour with a visit to the Academia Gallery of Fine Arts Museum, which houses one of the great masterpieces of all time: Michelangelo’s David(along with his unfinished Slaves and a number of other pieces). You will then have some free time to explore the charming streets and shops on your own. Once you have completed your tour of Florence, you will continue with your driver to Pisa. The Square of Miracles is home to the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Camposanto, and, of course the great bell tower – better known as the Leaning Tower. Your guide will share with you the historical and artistic background of the Leaning Tower, one of the great Wonders of the World.
Following your tour of Pisa, you will be returned to the port at Livorno to meet your ship.
